13-18 An Unforced Error Opens Oregon to Change | Shemia Fagan Scandal

13-18 An Unforced Error Opens Oregon to Change | Shemia Fagan Scandal

Show 13-18 Summary: The Shemia Fagan scandal broke this week and could have some far-reaching impacts — even the effort to get school choice in Oregon. Remember, the secretary of state oversees elections. And that means ballot initiatives like school choice. We ask Donna Kreitzberg about school choice’s ground game, some of the obstacles they have to overcome, and some of the reaction they’re already getting from signature gatherers out in the field. And, perhaps the biggest challenge ahead: countering the misinformation the other side has already been and will be putting out there in the months ahead. And then, a big political scandal rocked Oregon this week. Secretary of State Shemia Fagan was forced to resign. But is there more to Shemia Fagan scandal than what we’ve seen in the mainstream media?

This Week – Shemia Fagan Scandal

For those who knew Shemia Fagan, the scandal that rocked Oregon politics this past week is probably no surprise.

In case you missed it, Secretary of State Shemia Fagan got caught in a highly inappropriate side hustle. She was accused of taking $10,000 per month from a company her office is supposed to be overseeing. And she even did an audit of them. She did recuse herself from the audit. Except she lied about when she recused herself, not doing so until after the audit was completed. Oh, and did we mention she was also getting $30,000 per contract she secured for them?

That’s quite a bit of money for someone only making $77,000 per year. More than her entire salary. What could possibly be wrong with that? Well, pretty much everything from an ethics standpoint. You don’t take money from a company you’re supposed to be overseeing. Because that looks like a bribe. And you should not lie about your interactions with them. Because for someone who has (had) her law license, she definitely should have known better.

And isn’t that weird too. She suddenly re-applied for her law license back in February, a month before news of this broke into the public. Did she know the proverbial writing was on the wall then? Again, she should have known better—and, one assumes, did know—the moment she took the money.

Democrats and their Long Knives

democrats fight fascism by being fascistsA one-time rising star in the democrat party, democrats suddenly turned on Fagan. After initially denying any wrongdoing, democrats pushed Fagan to resign. Which she reluctantly did, Because even on the way out the door she still didn’t see anything wrong with what she did.

What was going on? And is there more to this story? And what now? As Secretary of State, Fagan had her fingers in a lot of pots. Including the Tim Sippel case, whom Washington County had sued to block the release of a voter database. Fagan swooped in out of the blue to join the lawsuit to block the release. Because nothing screams open, honest, and trustworthy like blocking the public from seeing what’s inside a public database. No. Nothing to see there. Peasants.

We talk with Marc Thielman, the former superintendent for the Alsea School District and candidate for Oregon governor, about the Shemia Fagan scandal. Was Governor Kotek using the scandal to eliminate a political rival? Don’t forget, the news about the Shemia Fagan scandal just happened to break in the Willamette Week. A paper Oregon’s attorney general’s husband just happens to own.

Gee. Weird coincidences.

We also talk with Marc about the school choice ballot initiatives, of which he is the chief petitioner.

Get involved! Head to EducationFreedomforOregon.com to download petition signature sheets and help them with a donation. Real school choice will bring desperately needed generational change to Oregon by breaking state-sponsored indoctrination in Oregon’s education system.

School Choice: Boots on the Ground

Before we talk with Marc, we talk with Donna Kreitzberg, who is spearheading the effort to get real school choice on the November 2024 ballot.

To get school choice in Oregon, it will be an uphill battle. Not least of which will be the financial hurdles. They will need at least $15 million to combat the misinformation, lies, and distortions the education lobby will put out there to desperately keep the status quo. Meaning they don’t want parents to decide where to send their children. Why is that, exactly? Shouldn’t everyone want parents to make the best choices for their children? Including the best education that best suites their children’s needs?

Donna talks to us about the operational and practical side of the fight. Like, what are her signature gatherers hearing from people about school choice? Yes, this will be a battle. Like, at a recent presentation in Portland, some liberal moms were initially opposed to the effort. But after the meeting, they came up and asked Donna how they could help. Tune in to find out what brought them around.

13-17 What are Oregon Democrats Up to Now? | Legislative Lowlights

Show 13-17 Summary: Oregon democrats continue to find new ways to emulate Nazis. You, your children, and certainly your money belong to the state. Democracy dies when democrats are in charge. It’s our monthly legislative update with Sen. Dennis Linthicum — hitting all the highlights and lowlights. Okay. There really aren’t any highlights. And the democrats STILL want to rob Oregon families of an average $5,200 kicker refund because they’ve discovered new ways to spend.

This Week – Oregon Democrats: Killing Democracy

Have you noticed that when democrats get in charge of something, the first thing they do is want to kill democracy?

But it didn’t always used to be this way. Democrats used to be about individual rights, civil rights, free speech, and so much more. Even Robert F. Kennedy recently pointed this out. Modern-day democrats have destroyed what the party used to be for.

Now, put them in charge, and their inner Nazi suddenly comes out. Democracy is about all voices. But democrats want to eliminate opposition. (Like the FBI going after Trump before, during, and after his presidency.) And not just politicians. Even every day citizens who don’t fall in line. (Like all those parents targeted by the FBI for daring to stand up to woke.)

The democrats hate being called Nazis. That’s their term for everyone else. But they hate it because it’s so blazingly true. That’s what they hate.

Monthly Legislative Update with Sen. Dennis Linthicum

This week, we talk with Senator Dennis Linthicum about the latest from the legislature. It’s not pretty. Not least of which because Oregon democrats, like Senator Dembrow, are steamed that things like democracy are happening. He’s ticked that republicans are slowing down the 1000s of bills democrats want to ram through. Dembrow hates that republicans have any say at all, apparently.

We talk parents rights. (Oregon democrats want to take them away.) And taxes—democrats can’t get enough of them. The business climate in Oregon. (Oregon democrats are trying to drive businesses out, apparently.) And we talk about that kicker refund. (Democrats want to spend it.)

There’s a business poll that came out recently and we get Sen. Linthicum’s take on it. It is not pretty. The thing is, Oregon democrats seem to not understand even basic economics. But why do you need economics if the government can just take everything, control the means of production, ensure only party loyalists are in business, and then tell people what they can and can’t buy.

You know. Just like the Nazis.

Oregon Democrats: Stealing your Kicker Refund

Oh, and that kicker? It’s not chump change. It kicks in whenever the state rakes in more than 2% above what they had budgeted. This year, it was 4% more. And the way it works is that it’s not based on what you paid. Instead, the giant pie (some $2 billion this year) is divided evenly among Oregon taxpayers. And this year, that’s about $5,200 per family.

But Oregon democrats have come up with new things they just have to buy. With your money. So watch for them to delay handing it back right up until the budget needs to pass. By law, the budget must be balanced. (Thank God Oregon democrats can’t just print money!) And legislators must balance it before the legislature can adjourn. So watch for Oregon democrats to try to strong arm republicans to spend all or some of the kicker to make up the difference or they can’t adjourn and go home.

Don’t miss this week’s show. Lots to discuss. Including Oregon democrats gleefully opening the door to Oregon becoming a “deathstination.” Happily willing to provide abortions and euthanasia for people from other states where killing isn’t allowed.

Get involved! Don’t be silent! It’s easier than ever now to let your voice be heard on bad — and the occasionally good — legislation. Head to olis.oregonlegislature.gov, type the bill number into the search bar (upper right), and you can send in your testimony.

13-13 Fixing What Ails Oregon | Education, School Choice & Election Integrity

Show 13-13 Summary: It’s about education, school choice, and voter integrity and how all of that is being undermined — but what we can do to fix it. Our guest is Marc Thielman, who has his hands in all of those pots and doing the stirring. So much of what ails Oregon right now can be fixed by better schools that teach real civics and history. To get there, the path is Real School Choice. And to get there, we need election integrity. What it really boils down to is we need education freedom in Oregon.

This Week – The Wrong Kind of Power

Oregon does not have an independent, superintendent of state schools. Thanks to John Kitzhaber and easily duped Oregon voters, that elected position was removed and absorbed under the dictator’s office. Oops. The governor’s office.

But that’s what really happened, isn’t it? More and more power consolidated under wannabe kings and queens. What is it with the Left and democrats — who claim they want democracy — grab all the power under a single person’s rule.

But can you believe that even with all that power in one person’s hands, now they want even more power. And it truly is just about control.

What’s Needed: Education Freedom in Oregon

So much of what ails Oregon right now can be fixed by better schools that teach real civics and history. (Two of the things socialists hate most.) To get there, the path is Real School Choice, which would allow parents to use the money already assigned to their child and send them to a school that works best for their child. And to get there, we need election integrity.

Join the fight for education freedom in Oregon! Get Real School Choice on the 2024 ballot. Head to Education Freedom for Oregon to download petition signatures and donate — even just $10, $25, or $50 is a big help!

This week we talk to Marc Thielman who is actively involved with all three of those issues. If you remember, Marc is the former superintendent of the Alsea School District. Which, we might add, was the one and only school district standing up to the governor’s and state’s overreach during covid. Marc defied the state and gave teachers and students options. (How dare he!) He did not enforce mask mandates (what?!). And kept kids in school (the outrage!). Oh. And they had a 500% enrollment increase. And not one covid case traced back to the school.

Marc Thielman on Education, School Choice, and Election Integrity

Perhaps its because Marc Thielman and the Alsea school board defied the state — successfully — that Tina Kotek think she needs even more power over schools. This, a recommendation from Melissa Goff. Who, if you didn’t know, was the superintendent of the Greater Albany Schools District. “Former” because she was such a little tyrant and bully that she was run out of her position. But now she is Kotek’s “education adviser.”

That’s like Stalin advising Chairman Mao.

Tune in to hear Marc talk about this power grab, the school shooting at The Covenant School, the damage transgenderism is doing to people, and, of course, election integrity. We saw blatant cheating in Arizona in 2022. Just in your face cheating. But the Arizona supreme court upheld one of Kari Lake’s complaints and sent back to lower court for review.

How much cheating has to happen before the courts take notice and uphold the law? Could this finally be the foot in the door?

Resisting Tyranny in Oregon: A Ministry of Truth — and Extorting Schools?

Show Summary: We’ve been telling you the Great Pushback is underway. People are done with mandates and the bureaucrats who enforce them. And now we’re seeing more people resisting tyranny in Oregon. The Great Pushback Against Tyranny

Have you noticed more and more countries are throwing off the mandates? First the U.K. Then Denmark. Now Finland. And others soon to follow.

And even here in the U.S., more and more cities and states are just done with the mandates.

Resisting Tyranny in Oregon

This week, we’re talking with two public-official heroes (in our book) who are standing up to the overreach of Oregon’s government — from inside government.

Mary Starrett, who tangled with her county’s public health board to get accurate data and more balance to their website, rather than just the official narrative. But doing so led to an strange fight with county health board. Which seemed oddly desperate to get a letter from the county commissioners as they sought accreditation from a non-profit no normal person has heard of. Or cares about.

Why so desperate? Could it be they want to be the “Ministry of Truth” for health? Setting up the one true narrative for covid? Why is Yamhill County Health so afraid of alternative treatments? “Accredited” sites are, of course, a means to look like theirs is the “sanctified source,” which then—psychologically—becomes the ministry of truth for all things covid.

And seizing control of the narrative stops people from being able to ask questions. Because under tyranny, you’re not allowed to ask questions. You’re not allowed alternative treatments. But you are allowed to obey.

As mentioned on the show: Try it! Go to NIH.gov and type “Ivermectin and cancer” into the search box. Or just click this link to jump to the search. Prepare to be amazed.

Watch for Mary Starrett in future I Spy Radio shows.

Is Oregon Attempting to Blackmail the Alsea School District?

Marc Thielman, as Alsea school superintendent, seems to be always tangling with the State. This time, it’s about masks — and the state’s attempts to essentially blackmail Alsea into compliance.

Denver School Board Vice President Weird Fetish with Masks
Weird! Is it a mask mandate? Or a mask fetish? (Click for full size)

Recently, his school district decided to make masks optional. Why? Because that’s CDC guidance. (Bet you haven’t heard that, have you?) But Oregon can’t tolerate being disobeyed. Why does Oregon want so desperately to keep people — especially kids — in masks? It’s a weird psychosis, really.

And considering that more and more studies are showing the mandates, from lockdowns to masks and plenty in between, have done more harm than good, bureaucrats might just be headed for a lawsuit.

VIDEO: Watch Marc Thielman on the Laura Ingraham Show on Fox News. Is Oregon trying to blackmail Alsea School District? You decide.

Real School Choice

Marc Thielman was also the chief petitioner to get Real School Choice on the ballot, which would have created an amendment to Oregon’s constitution, giving it an extra level of security from a regular bill passed into law, making it harder for future legislators from dismantling it. But elected Democrats say they’re for education, just not good education and no one should be able to teach kids except democrats. Which is why democrat Secretary of State, Shemia Fagan, killed it. Find out the ridiculous, convoluted “reasoning” behind her decision. And why she was so wrong. But it’s not over. More resisting tyranny in Oregon on this front too.

Marc Thielman for Governor

Marc is also a candidate for governor on the Republican side. Which means its own set of challanges. Find out the roadblock the Oregon Republican Party (ORP) has set in front of candidates this election.

Hint. They need donors.

If you want to support a fighter resisting tyranny in Oregon, visit Marc’s campaign website: MarcForOregon.com. Stay up to date with news and events. And while there, be sure to give him some love.

As mentioned on the show, right now, they need numbers. It’s the number of donors the ORP is looking at, not just dollars.

Original Air Dates: Feb 6th & 7th, 2021 | Scott McEwen & Rob Taylor

This Week: Many of us groan, especially those who live in blue states, when the legislative session is upon us.  With Oregon in the lead for making everything obnoxious by following the mantras for “citizen safety”: keeping your distance, suffocating under hot and uncomfortable face coverings, or locking our children out of enjoying sports and social events. We don’t have to look very hard to figure out why blue state governors are taking some heat.

But not to worry. Who needs fiscal responsibility when the money cavalry is on its way in the $2 trillion Covid Blue State Bailout.

Gruesome Newsome

Could it be that liberal California might actually kick their idiot, er, governor to the curb? As of this writing, over 1.4 million Californians signed the recall petitions. And, surprisingly, Silicon Valley CEO’s joined the rebellion. They sent big donations to the recall effort.

Gasp!

Could it be that blue state governors, and state and federal legislators, are beginning to find out that a free people won’t be tied to their draconian orders? We can hope!

Scott McEwen

Scott McEwen, a former Oregonian who has lived in California for many years. He talks to us about what has happened in California, Newsome’s overreach, and those candidates who are already lining up to run for governor when the recall completes its goal.

Scott also discusses the cancel culture and what is happening with censorship and why.  And of course we can’t let Scott go without getting his take on international security issues, such as China and Korea — and what a Biden administration may do to Middle East peace.  Did you know there was a coup in Myanmar? Yep. Myanmar (aka Burma) just had a coup over, of all things, voter fraud.

Rob Taylor

Next up we welcome back Rob Taylor, who himself has been impacted by an attempt to cancel and censor. Rob says how his e-mail account with MailChimp was permanently suspended for a Patriot Prayer link he had in one e-mail.  No warning. Just cancelled.

Then, to add to the censorship, suddenly far-left radicals in Coos County started calling the station where his radio show airs. They demanded he be cancelled. And they started trying to boycott his advertisers.

Far-left radicals who want only their voices heard but no others. Is that really what they think of as “freedom of speech”?

Rob also catches us up on 2nd Amendments issues here in Oregon, including current legislature bills. And a brand new anti-gun tactic the Left is trying out in our Oregon Petri Dish.

Original Air Dates: Dec 5 & 6, 2020 | Chuck Wiese & Kimberley Hermann

This week: Whether it’s mysterious spike of ballots all for one candidate in the middle of the night, Republican observers literally locked out of the room, or video evidence in Georgia of suitcases filled with ballots being pulled out from under a table, election fraud is widespread and in our face.

Yes, voter fraud, election fraud, election theft. It’s all real. And it all happened. And when we say “all” we mean the democrats used an “all of the above” approach. Because they pulled every trick in the book to jam as many fraudulent votes past the supposed gatekeepers to then dare anyone from trying to stop them.

Now instead of proving that Trump was innocent he’s now working to prove he won the election.  And his efforts may be paying off. But will truth win out if everybody wants to believe a lie?

But the investigation must move forward so that Americans know that they can trust the next election.  So this week we take a look at the election from two perspectives: an analysis of the impossibility of the numbers, and the legal end of evidence, affidavits and court fights.

Media Silence and Censorship on Voter Fraud

At this point, the mainstream media has laid down their gauntlet by refusing to air any real news surrounding election fraud.  But President Trump, gave an astounding White House speech this week with detail after detail on the election fraud cases. Did the media cover it? Of course not. Compare this to Obama years when they slavishly and dutifully covered every Obama speech no matter how trivial. But a speech from President Trump about rampant, widespread fraud, stealing our election? The media couldn’t be bothered.

Then a video materializes that shows a Georgia ballot counting center having four suitcases filled with Biden ballots hidden under a table.  Only to be retrieved, once the room had been emptied of witnesses, and counted. Why empty the room of witnesses? Why were there ballots hidden in boxes? Does the media even ask questions anymore?

Chuck Wiese: Election Fraud from a Statistical and Logical Analysis

Chuck Wiese walks us through the improbability of the numbers, and the strange spikes of all-Biden ballots.  According to an analysis by Dr. Shiva, an MIT statistician, we can see when the algorithm kicks in, which Mr. Wiese walks us through what that means and how it happened. We also talk other improbable anomalies, like the subtraction of Trump votes during a time they are supposedly adding votes up. Yeah. Things definitely don’t add up.

Kimberly Hermann: Election Fraud from a Legal Analysis

Then attorney Kimberly Hermann, from Southeastern Legal Foundation, takes a look at some current and upcoming lawsuits (you’ll definitely want to hear what they’re working on). Also, what evidence could wake up the media to the fraud going on and what kind of evidence that will overturn the election in the current court suits.

Like in so many Democrat-controlled states, Oregon’s mandates and “emergency orders” have given many Oregonians pause, as we decide what are true “safety issues,” and which are actually eroding our constitutional rights. Especially when the orders consist of being locked into our homes or locked out of our favorite businesses. Or being told you have to wear masks, to the point of absurdity. (Recently, a Wyoming department even mandated people had to wear a mask, even if they were at home, alone, on a teleconference.) And all of that after the pretense of being falsely told that these orders would last only “15 days to flatten the curve.” Five months ago.

Mandates and Endless Orders

We’re told we must wear masks to enter a business. Or stand 6 feet apart. Or both. We can’t hug or shake hands. And you certainly can’t have any interaction, like churches or actually non-violent protests that might threaten the State’s power of telling us how to behave and think. Because, without exception, we are supposed to think that everything the state and our ‘dear leaders” tells us is for our own good. And cannot be questioned, opposed, or go unfollowed. Even if you believe some of these orders are immaterial, immoral, or even illegal. Not to mention unscientific. But, don’t you dare ask (or think) such things.

Where are All the Lawyers?

And what’s very interesting throughout this questionable time of panic-demic, we’ve wondered where are all the lawyers? Normally we would see a bazillion of lawsuits except now it seems many lawyers have been quiet. Why?

Well, it turns out there are some valid reasons and we discuss it on the show this weekend with Kim Hermann, General Counsel for Southeastern Legal Foundation.

Southeastern Legal Foundation: Fighting Back

This show is about defending our rights but also about taking the fight to the government that is abandoning their responsibilities—while taking away rights.

Could it be that the Left may have found the Achilles Heel to take away our constitutional rights? Just claim a health emergency? And you have no rights? Democrats who are controlling these blue states are keeping the voters powerless, as they use such hammers as OSHA. OSHA tells private businesses that if masks are not worn by their customers, OSHA will shut the business down. Is that legal? We discuss that too.

A Doctor Gets Attacked for Standing Up for Truth

Dr. Steve LaTulippe, a medical doctor in the Willamette Valley has come under attack. Why? Because he has dared to point out on social media that the mandates are causing their own set of problems. pointed out that the mask orders and other mandates are causing their own set of problems.

Developing: We’re also hearing that hospital doctors, nurses, and other workers are being told—as a condition of employment—not to talk about health problems that result from mandates and state orders. So the state orders people to wear masks and stay home. And then they’re also ordering people not to to talk about the problems that result from those orders? Got it. Totalitarianism comes to Oregon.

Standing Up to Mandate Abuse & Liability

If you’re forced to shut down, who’s liable for the lost income? Who’s liable for forcing people into masks that now have shown to cause headaches, rashes, and a host of problems. Should, or can, the state, be held liable for the problems it created?

Where are the Lawyers on this? Where are all the class-action lawsuits?

And what about those states that haven’t followed shutdowns, such as South Dakota, which has large cities, yet their number of deaths is lower than blue states that have locked down.

And what about contact tracing? How does that not go against the 4th Amendment?

Or what can you do if someone from the state shows up on your doorstep, demanding a cheek swab? Or wants to put you in quarantine?

And what about mandatory vaccines?

We turn to Kim Hermann and the Southeastern Legal Foundation, to get some answers of what rights we have and what to do about the ones we want protected. Does the Constitution trump local emergency orders? Or is a governor, like Gov Kate, allowed to indiscriminately continue with emergency orders, without legislative oversight, and no determination of when the orders end, or what will happen when they do.

Fighting Back

You’ll want to hear this week’s show and the fights that SLF has already taken up on college campuses that opened the doors to using Covid reporting forms to shut down organizations they may not agree with politically. Listen to Kim explain what they’re doing to protect student’s rights, and what SLF, lawyers, and citizens can do to help fight against these blue state, and out-of-control governors.

It’s definitely time for some answers and maybe it’s time for some actions. If you’re being ordered to be silent, it’s time not to be. If your business is being threatened, it’s past time to speak up. Or all of your rights are at stake.

Air Dates: Apr 20 & 21, 2019 | Dan Sered

This Week: Despite no shortage of political news this week, we are taking a break from it all to celebrate Easter.  But this week, Friday at sundown, was also Passover. Did you know that the symbolism within Passover’s sacred meal, the Seder Feast, point to Jesus as the Messiah? Our guest thinks so. We’re pleased to welcome for the first time to our show Dan Sered, COO of Jews for Jesus on the symbolism of Jesus in the Passover.

Passover Meal: The Origins of Communion

As Christians, we all know about Communion. It’s a meal many Christians celebrate monthly or even weekly. But how much do you really know about Passover, which is the origin for Communion?

As the name implies, Jews for Jesus is an organization of Jews who believe that Jesus was and is the Messiah. We invite Dan on to walk us through the Passover meal, how it’s celebrated and the many deep traditions within the highly structured and ordered Seder meal.

For thousands of years, Jews embraced the prophecies of the Old Testament that would reveal the Messiah. But as you’ll hear, so much of the Passover meal itself—this most sacred meal so central to Judaism—actually symbolize and point to the very Messiah they’ve rejected. Jesus. You’ll also hear the struggle many Jews go through when (as other Jews see it) they “leave” the faith.

Symbolism of Jesus in the Passover

Join us to hear the traditions and symbolism of this sacred meal. We reflect on the symbolism, its ties to Christianity, and how the routine and order taken throughout Passover represent God has laid out a plan and process for our life and salvation.

Your next Communion won’t be the same.

As we start this very holiest of celebrations, we wish you all a very wonderful Easter weekend!
