This Week – Free Speech and Election Integrity

With the First Amendment — remember that? — being foundational to America, you would think we would all be able to agree on free speech and election integrity. But we don’t. Why is that?

Because when it comes to free speech and election integrity, Americans are extremely divided. In part, it’s because the Left and the Right have very different ideas about what is free speech and and what is election integrity.

The Right wants to have absolute free speech, as intended by our founders. But the Left thinks government should control speech — what can be said and what can’t. Which is weird because the government is supposed to defend a person’s right to free speech, not compel them to say something or prevent them from saying it.

And the same with elections, which are a form of free speech. The Right thinks of election integrity as limiting the ability for people to cheat and that only those who have a right to vote, should. But the Left only sees integrity in elections when everyone gets to vote, even if they don’t have a legal right to do so.

Free Speech Only for Some?

We talk with Kimberly Hermann, the general counsel for Southeastern Legal Foundation about a curious lawsuit they just filed against the University of New Mexico. But before we get there, we talk about some basics of free speech. Does the First Amendment have an asterisk by it, as the Left would have us believe? And what about this notion that our Founders never envisioned the internet so now we should do away with the free speech? And what about all this censorship? By our own government no less?

And it’s not just our government attempting to censor. It’s our universities. Tune in to hear how UNM decided to fine one side of the political aisle for trying to exercise their rights. And what Southeastern Legal is doing to remind them they have a legal obligation to protect speech. Even if they hate it.

Election Integrity

Then we talk with Catherine Engelbrecht, the president of True the Vote. Because TTV fights for election integrity, and has exposed tens of thousands of instances of voter fraud, they get smeared from time to time. We discuss the latest, in which they’re accused of not having any evidence of a single instance of voter fraud. But who said it? The guy to whom they gave the evidence. Except in his shallow mind, it doesn’t exist if you don’t look at it.

And you’ll never guess who begged for True the Vote’s endorsement.

But with 2024 looming, just voting is no longer an option. Thankfully, do-nothing Ronna McDaniels (the Fani Willis of the Republican Party) is gone at the Republican National Committee. And with new leadership, the RNC has alre3ady fired its first shot. At Michigan. Why? Because in 53 counties, Michigan has more registered voters than actual adults.

We also get Catherine’s insights from the trenches what everyday people can do. And what the RNC needs to focus on in the months ahead.

- They forced social media companies to employ censorship algorithms. They could be fined $54 million per post that had been identified as “hate speech” by the algorithm if it remained on the site for more than 48 hours
It has the ability to censor 10s of millions of posts with just a few lines of code.

This Week – Digging Deeper into the CIA

CIA officer turned CIA whistleblower Pedro Israel Orta spent some 18 years in the CIA. And when he encountered abuses by a CIA Chief of Base in Afghanistan, he felt compelled to report it. But he quickly found out that whistleblower protections were basically non existent. Because he was the one singled out for punishment. And he was eventually forced out of the CIA. But not before he got to see how other whistleblowers were treated within the intelligence community. Now Pedro is on a mission to reveal the CIA for what it is — from an insider’s view point.

What a CIA Whistleblower Knows

Pedro Israel Orta was an analyst and spent years in covert operations for nearly two decades. This week, we talk to him about in more depth about the CIA itself. And the Deep State intelligence community. Which is supposed to serve the president. But do they? Or are they on their own.

Pedro discusses how the CIA and its forerunners began to take power for itself going back to FDR. Eisenhower tried to warn us about the “military industrialized complex.” And being a former general, he was in a position to know about the rising power of the intelligence agencies. So we ask, why didn’t he do something other than warn us?

And what about Kennedy? He knew the CIA was trying to steer America into a war with Cuba. And Vietnam. And he was going to break up the CIA. So was the CIA involved with killing Kennedy? Yes, we ask.

And what about all those wars and military conflicts since Kennedy? Did the CIA manipulate America into all of them? How does the CIA control presidents into doing their bidding? Yes, we ask all that too.

But then there’s the recent New York Times disclosure that Putin was right. The CIA really was and is operating in Ukraine and using it as a front to attack Russia. (Naturally, the Times is blind to that admission, even though they give Putin all the evidence.) Was it all an intentional leak? And if so, why?

This Week – CIA Whistleblower

We welcome first-time guest, Pedro Israel Orta, who joined the CIA looking to serve his country after his family had fled the tyranny of the Castro regime.He spent 18 years with them, serving a variety of posts, primarily as an analyst, and covert field work as well.

But while serving in Afghanistan, Pedro witnessed situations that were putting his fellow officers in danger due to a Chief of Base who was inexperienced with war zones. And turned the station into more of a social club. They were there to do a mission. And she was endangering them through her actions. So Pedro felt compelled to file a whistleblower complaint. But instead of the system taking action to protect the lives of its officers, the CIA turned on him, the whistleblower.

After being fired from the CIA, Pedro wrote a book about his experiences: Broken Whistle: A Deep State Run Amok, which was just published in February 2024.

Whistleblower System – Used and Corrupted

But it’s more than just whistleblowers who want to come forward. In his book, Pedro exposes how the whistleblower system, which was designed to protect people against systemic abuses, was itself corrupted. In his first chapter, Pedro exposes how the whistleblower system was corrupted by the Deep State to go after President Trump. The intelligence community altered whistleblower forms retroactively, changed the rules to allow secondhand reports, and then banded together to defend their own corruption. All to go after a sitting president.

Why? In our opinion, it was that “perfect phone call” to Zelensky, raising an investigation into Joe Biden. Because if Trump opened that door, there were dozens, if not hundreds, of corrupt people behind it. And that was a door that couldn’t be allowed to be opened.

We hope to have a part two with CIA whistleblower Pedro Israel Orta in the very near future. There is a lot more to uncover and we only just scratched the surface.

14-07 Defending Free Speech | Exposing Censorship Already Happening

By the federal government, yes; by state governments, yes. But now cities? This week, it’s all about defending free speech and exposing censorship of it.

This Week – Exposing Censorship

Two new-to-us guests this week. But both share their experiences and insights into censorship and the fight for free speech. Which the government is supposed to defend. But right now it is the worst offender when it comes to censorship. (By the way, a big win on censorship that broke after our interview. More below.)

First up is Austin VanDerHeyden from the Goldwater Institute, which is based in Phoenix Arizona. The Goldwater Institute has defended free speech and other civil liberties since 1988. But it turns out they had a city right in their own backyard that was busy spying on and censoring city employee’s free speech.

Then we talk with Joseph Vazquez from the Media Research Center, which has been America’s media watchdog against Left-Wing bias in the news since 1987. Back then it was countering and exposing the Left bias in the media. But now MRC has a new program focused on free speech and fighting censorship. Especially by Big Tech.

Because as we see with Oregon’s A.I.-powered elections monitoring and censorship program to combat whatever the democrats in charge deem to be mi-, dis-, or mal-information (MDM), Big Tech and artificial intelligence are weaponizing technology against the rights of citizens. And, again, let us remind governments, at all levels, that the role of government is defend free speech. Even and especially speech with which it disagrees. It’s role is not to determine what is acceptable or allowed.

News! Censorship Can Be Stopped

Thankfully, there are sensible judges still out there who recognize that the Constitution means it when it says the government’s duty is to protect free speech, not censor it. On Friday, after our interview, news broke of a big win by RFK Jr., who had sued the federal government. Which, despite its constitutional duty, agencies within the federal government have been working with Big Tech to censor whatever it didn’t like. About such things as covid, the vaccines, global warming/climate change, transgenderism and more.

The ruling is essentially on hold until after the bigger and broader Missouri v. Biden, which is currently at the Supreme Court, awaiting a ruling. But. This ruling prevents Biden and his gestapo agencies from working with social media companies to suppress free speech. But this definitely fires a shot across the bow of U.S.S. Censorship.

This Week – True the Vote

There’s a famous letter that starts out, “Yes, Virginia, there really is a Santa Claus.” While states like Oregon are monitoring, censoring, and blocking anything the democrats in charge deem to be “misinformation” about elections, they treat election fraud as if it’s some non-existent, mythical being. Well, sorry but, “Yes, Oregon, there really is election fraud.”

If you saw the absolute viciousness with which democrats, mainstream media, social media, and democrat-led judiciary all attacked anyone who dared ask questions about the 2020 election, you knew something was up. Why? Because all of those had just questioned the 2016 election. With huge, violent protests in D.C. and other cities. Republicans didn’t censor them. Republicans didn’t viciously attack any doubters.

But when Republicans questioned 2020? They were silenced, censored, and attacked. Court cases thrown out. And yet, here we are, three years later, and the claims made about the 2020 election fraud are proving true.

This Week – Stories You Might Not have Heard

We welcome back fan favorite and regular gust, Chuck Wiese, to talk about some of the major news stories these last two weeks. And they all just happen line up well with Chuck’s expertise and experience. Chuck Wiese is an academically trained scientist with a degree in meteorology. (Which he obtained before the universities went woke and through science out in exchange for activism and big propaganda grants.) He spent years in the news business as a TV weatherman for a major Portland network before becoming a commercial airline pilot. After retiring from those, he has become a political activist — as we all should be —focusing especially on election integrity. And boy was there some election integrity news this week.

Tune in to hear a wide-ranging interview covering why weather predictions, especially here in the Pacific Northwest, are so difficult to be accurate more than 48 hours out. We talk developments in election integrity, including the Georgia prosecutor Fanni Willis going after President Trump only to expose herself as being corrupt. She paid over $650,000 to her boyfriend who has never been a prosecutor. And was dumb enough to charge his visits to the Biden White House to her office leaving a paper trail of corruption.

Election Integrity News – Did You Miss It?

Speaking of Fanni Willis, there was election integrity news you almost certainly missed. Especially if your main news source is the mainstream news. Trump released a devastating report: “Summary of Election Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election in the Swing States.” (If you have not seen this, see the Links section below to download a copy.)

The true “big lie” from 2020 is from the media: there was no evidence of election interference or corruption. That’s the lie. The “big truth” is that there is massive amounts of election fraud. And we talk through just one county in one state: Fulton County, Georgia.

Now you know why Fanni Willis is desperate to attack Trump. Marxism/Leftism 101: accuse the other side of that which you yourself are guilty.

The push for green energy (it’s not green) is on a downward spiral. And if you’re in an area this weekend getting hit by all that cold and ice, you’re glad your only power is NOT solar or wind. This Week – 2023 Wins and Future Battles

There will be two major fights in the year ahead. The first and biggest will be the battle over the First Amendment — especially free speech. In 2020, we saw the Deep State censor vital information from voters — like the Hunter Biden laptop story and the Biden corruption scandals. And the covid origin story and viable covid treatments of Ivermectin and HCQ. And injuries and death from the not safe, not effective vaccines. All that to seize control.

As of this writing, 23 states have joined the Biden administration to seize control of free speech, claiming they are fighting “disinformation.” All 23 of them just happen to be democrat-led states. Hint to tyrants: that’s not the government’s job. The government’s job is to defend free speech. Not attack it. The second major fight will be the battle to get people engaged. Is America worth saving? Is the America we’ve become worth defeating—to go back to the America we loved and was worth fighting for? The battle ahead will be to convince people to get engaged and to not stay silent. Why? Because 2023 was the year of wins. We saw what happened when people spoke up. They won. That’s what we need more of in the year ahead.

Show 13-43 Summary: Oregon has now hired a surveillance partner to monitor, track, flag, report, and censor what the State deems election misinformation, disinformation, or malinformation. This Orwellian surveillance system will monitor social media posts, websites, blogs, YouTube videos, podcasts and even radio broadcasts. This is a war on Free Speech. And we know this is just the first step on a very slippery slope. Where is this headed? And what you can do to stop it.

This Week – Oregon’s Election Disinformation Monitoring System

We had a last-minute guest cancellation and were all set to air a best-of this weekend. But then, out of the blue, we found out late Thursday that Oregon’s Secretary of State had put out a RFP for vendors, looking for a surveillance system to spy on its citizens. Oregon wanted someone with a surveillance system that had the capabilities to monitor, track, flag, and report back to bureaucrats whatever the State deems to be election “misinformation, disinformation, or malinformation.”

That’s right. Welcome to Oregon’s War on Free Speech.

This tracking system has massive tracking capabilities. Oregon’s RFP stated it wanted a provider to monitor all social media, websites, blogs, videos, podcasts — even radio broadcasts. All to hunt down whatever it determines to be “election disinformation.” Even whatever it deems to be misinformation or malinformation.

The stated goal is to give the State a free speech early warning system. To identify trends. And allow election officials to dispute, respond, and even censor any information that the state doesn’t like.

Oregon’s War on Free Speech

We welcome back Marc Thielman who is the lead plaintiff in an election integrity lawsuit,which is currently before the 9th Circuit. Marc and others wanted to help the state prove there was no election fraud. But the State sued to stop them, thank you very much. Now why would the State stop someone from helping them prove the elections can be trusted?

Because the State tells you not to ask questions. You’re not allowed to ask questions. Do not question your betters. The State telling you, “Trust us” should be enough when it comes to questions about election integrity.

Nothing says “trust” like suing people who want to trust you.

But now, the State has gone off the deep end. It wants to proactively hunt down what it, in its sole discretion, deems to be election disinformation. No questioning the elections.

Marc and Mark go through this chilling and blatant attack on free speech. With this RFP, Oregon’s Secretary of State has effectively announced the State will now monitor everything people say online or over the air about elections so they can be alerted to it. And yes. They will undoubtedly seek to censor differing opinions. And even report “evildoers” spreading “election disinformation” to the FBI. And we know where that will head.

But where is this headed? What lies further down the censorship slippery slope? If the goal is to censor election disinformation, what’s next? We know the Oregon and the Biden administration worked with Big Tech to censor important information about covid and the vaccines. Information that could have saved lives. And even before that, the Biden campaign and his Deep State allies blocked and censored information about the 2020 election that would have cost Biden the election. The Hunter laptop and Joe’s corruption schemes.

Fighting Back Against Oregon’s Surveillance

If Oregon is allowed to monitor, profile, track and spy on you, with the goal of censoring or even reporting you — for your opinion — they will not stop here. You know they won’t. So, Marc Thielman has announced he will once again sue the State to stop them. And they absolutely need to stop.

Fighting back isn’t cheap. It costs $5,000 just for the filing fee. Head to Marc’s Battleground Oregon website to donate and to help him fight this attack on your right to free speech. It’s your right. Your opinion. Your right to say whatever you want to say. And the State should not be allowed to prevent you.

That’s the point of free speech.

And a reminder for Big Brother Oregon: it is the government’s job to protect free speech. Not censor or it.

We know from last week’s show about fighting offshore wind farms that public outcry is a huge part of stopping government’s plans and overreach. That’s why it is critical that you speak up. You cannot be silent on this. Or before long, you won’t have any choice but to be silent.

How? By contacting election officials and — politely but firmly —tell them you are opposed to this monitoring of free speech. Here are Marc’s suggestions for an effective email: keep it simple. Tell them you just found out about this election disinformation monitoring system, ask if they know about it (some county clerks may not have been told yet), and tell them it should not be implemented and needs to stop immediately.

It’s quite another when government lies and then sues you if you dare question them. And this after telling you “trust us, there’s nothing to see here.” Really? So why not let people look. Trust in government is at an all-time low. (Perhaps it has something to do with threatening and jailing people who dare question them.) But elections absolutely should be something we can all trust. Including, and especially, the losing side. So why is government trying so hard to not build trust? But there are election solutions to rebuild trust. This Week – Election Solutions

Trust in government is at an all time low. Perhaps because it is now suing, fining, and/or arresting their political opponents. And threatening people who dare question them. But elections absolutely should be something we can all trust. Even the losing side. Especially the losing side. Shouldn’t they have faith that they may have lost but it was fair, open, and trustworthy?

So why is government trying so hard not to build trust? Especially trust in our elections.

But there are election solutions. And one of the biggest is also a simple one: return to hand counting.

Election Solutions that Would Restore Trust

We welcome back Marc Thielman, a former Republican candidate for Oregon’s governor, and current political activist. Marc was also the superintendent for the Alsea School District during Covid, which the State of Oregon tried desperately to close down but Marc stood firm against their mandates. During that time, Alsea saw their enrollment swell by 500%. And they also never had a case of covid be traced back to their school. Funny that.

As a political activists, Marc is currently involved with getting real school choice on the 2024 ballot and is one of the lead plaintiffs in an election integrity case against Oregon and which is currently in front of the 9th Circuit.

But this week, we’re talking about trust and election solutions. And how those two intermingle.

Return to Hand Counting Ballots

On Sunday, October 1st, I Spy Radio host, Mark Anderson, attended a hand count training with Linda Rantz, who spearheaded a real hand count in Osage County, Missouri. He was able to see first hand how hand counting not only can be done but should be done. On this week’s show, Mark walks people through the process, how efficient it is, and how this election solution has trust designed right into it. Yes, there are potentials for human error. Just like there are potentials for human-caused errors in machine counts. But this hand-counting system is designed for transparency and trust. Because it recognizes the potential problems and makes it easier for many eyes on them to prevent them.

Which is entirely different than what blue states do. Hide the errors and attack people who dare question them. States like Oregon and California. The latter of which just passed a law to block hand counting. Now, why would you do that unless you want to make it easier for the state to cheat and keep things hidden?
